Located in Wolverhampton, this “Good” school is seeking an outstanding university graduate to the role of a teaching assistant, supporting their English Department. The role will be for 1 year starting immediately until June 2020.
Senior management at the school provides excellent leadership and direction to pupils and staff. Staff at the school are extremely supportive and welcoming. The school has developed an ethos of hard work, with all staff and pupils pulling in the same direction to ensure that the high standards and expectations that are set are achieved. You will be required to embrace this ethos, learn from the staff around you, and utilise your own initiative to provide excellent classroom support and aid in the development of those pupils you support.
The role of English Graduate Teaching Assistant will require you to work on both a 1-2-1 basis with pupils and also with groups. There will be a variety of support required, with the successful candidate due to work with both the gifted and talented and also those pupils who require extra support to reach expected levels.
